The Matt Incident

This is the great Matt Incident I spoke of previously. Using actual quotes. So great.




Date: Tuesday, July 12.
Time: Like 10pm or so
Sidenotes: Well, first I think I should explain that he was already feeling really bad because last time he'd IMed me, he said, "ENTERTAIN ME!" and it happened to be right after I found out about Amber. And now, there was this:


Me: Hey, do you have any 3 Doors Down Tickets left?
Matt: I do
Me: Pick me! Pick me!
Matt: If you got the cash, as well as lots of sex, then you can come.

*Jacki breaks down, laughing hysterically*

Me: You wanna know the funniest part about that comment...
Matt: What?
Me: (Be prepared to feel stupid again)
Matt: Uh oh... What is the funniest part?
Me: My mother is sitting here, right beside me... She says hi.
Matt: *pause* OH NO! That is what I was afraid of!
Me & My Mother: *Laughing so hard, our eyes are beginning to water*
Matt: DAMMIT! DAMMIT! DAMMIT!
Me: Wow. That was great. Oh and by the way...
Matt: Well, I'm glad I could amuse you and your mother. Now I am gonna stab myself with a dull fork...
Me: A dull one?
Matt: Yes, that way it will hurt more.
Me: Give me the tickets first.
Matt: By the way? By the way what?! If you say your dad saw it too, I may just jump out the window.
Me: That's not what I was going to say, but...
Matt: Oh shit. But?
Me: Well, not only did he see it, two of his friends that are over trying to organize this thing for Kolacky Days did too.
Matt: Well, goodbye.
Me: They heard us laughing and came in.
Matt: AND YOU SHOWED THEM?!?!
Me: No... My mom told them.
Matt: I want to cry.
Me: My mom just patted me on the back and said, "And this is the guy whose house you spent the night at because you got snowed in??" and left.
Matt: Oh damn. Seriously, I want to die right now.
Me: At least you're not bored anymore.
Matt: No, bored is not quite the emotion I would use...





Now, Matt guessed I'd put this right on LJ to announce to the world his amusing blunder and he was absolutely right. ("Why don't you go write about it in your LiveJournal?!" ~ Andrea) However, he would agree to let me post it under one condition - That I be sure to include the following:


1.) I must mention that he initially IMed me with concern to "see how [I] was doing and such."
2.) I must mention that he will be giving me a 3 Doors Down concert ticket.
3.) And finally, the sex part "actually comes true. ;)"
